in the summer of 2018 a new cluster of modern homes was built where old Victorian terraces once stood, close to where I live. With this small regeneration came a lovely new toddlers' play park. Young family friendly. Previously this spot was rough, unkempt green space, but it had benches, grass, and borders, and street drinkers would sit here sometimes, chatting at the end of a day, and dog walkers would pass through too. A small green space to refresh. Its revamp into a clean, friendly pocket park is a surprise. It also feels like a breath of hope for nice surroundings. Will it stay this way? I've lived here long enough to know that this might be a challenge, and I'm helping to maintain it now with a small team of enthusiastic and concerned locals. So this is a photo side project of both cynicism and hope. Let's see how it progresses ...
