Photography on a Postcard
Shoreditch, London, 12th – 24th October 2017
I am delighted to announce that some of my work is available in the prestigious ‘Photography on a Postcard’ lottery this October.
My image of traveller Bobby ‘Riding the river’ will feature in the show.
I’m truly honoured to be included alongside so many wonderful photographers.
Photography on a Postcard lottery ticket buyers have a very high chance of getting a valuable collector’s piece such as a one-off Wolfgang Tillmans, Martin Parr, Jenny Lewis, Simon Norfolk, Liz Hingley or Liz Collins or they may get work by a talented upcoming photographer like myself.
The accompanying exhibition is at theprintspace, 74 Kingsland Road, Shoreditch, London, E2 8DL.
It’s a couple of years since I captured this image of Bobby on a summer’s evening at Appleby Horse Fair, in Cumbria, England, on the evening before the fair, when just a few travellers had arrived to wash their horses in the River Eden and take them for a swim and a gallop upstream. I couldn’t have envisaged this quiet moment in nature being appreciated in a London show years down the line! I am very pleased that it will be.
The Photography on a Postcard lottery and exhibition are organised by the Hepatitis C Trust’s fundraising arm, Art on a Postcard, in partnership with theprintspace, and the brilliant people at Shutter Hub. All the money raised in the lottery goes towards the work of the Hepatitis C charity trust.
